As the researchers male, 49% of detected viruses are multifunctional Trojans aimed at stealing user data from the phone of the victim. In the study, the experts found that 18% of malware backdoors are just providing hackers full control over the victim's smartphone.

Almost 25% of threats are SMS-Trojan, who sign a sacrifice for paid SMS-services and transfer its mobile account funds to the accounts intruders. In the reporting period, fraudulent schemes using such programs have been found in 47 countries around the world.
