The number of malicious programs for Android is growing

Experts antivirus company submitted a report on the results of the study of malware for Android-devices in the second quarter of this year.

As the researchers male, 49% of detected viruses are multifunctional Trojans aimed at stealing user data from the phone of the victim. Viruses compromised contact lists, e-mail or other records of the victim that is stored in the device memory. In addition, malware can install backdoors on the compromised device. In the study, the experts found that 18% of malware backdoors are just providing hackers full control over the victim's smartphone.

Almost 25% of threats are SMS-Trojan, who sign a sacrifice for paid SMS-services and transfer its mobile account funds to the accounts intruders. In the reporting period, fraudulent schemes using such programs have been found in 47 countries around the world.
